Fact-Checking

Accuracy is the foundation of a useful travel guide, and this page explains how we try to maintain it, along with the honest limits of what we can verify from a distance.

Our Verification Process

Factual claims about geography, history, and how a system (transit, a bath, a landmark's visiting process) generally works are checked against official and authoritative sources at the time of writing. Each guide lists an “Information last verified” date reflecting when this review took place.

What We Don't State as Fact

We deliberately avoid stating specific current ticket prices, exact current opening hours, or specific accessibility guarantees as settled fact, because these details change frequently and a snapshot can go stale within months. Instead, our guides describe general patterns and relative cost levels, and point you to the relevant official source for the current number.

Source Priorities

Where available, we prioritize official government, tourism board, transportation authority, and venue sources over third-party travel blogs or aggregator sites. Where only secondary sources exist for a given detail, we treat that information more cautiously and try to flag the uncertainty rather than presenting it with unwarranted confidence.

Reporting a Suspected Error

If you believe something on this site is factually incorrect or has become outdated, please contact us with the specific page and detail in question. We review every report and, where a correction is warranted, update the page and record the change in our corrections log.
